Serena Khaplu Palace, also known as Yabgo Khar, is a meticulously restored 19th-century royal residence situated in the serene Khaplu Valley. Once the seat of the Raja of Khaplu, this architectural gem has been transformed into a luxurious heritage hotel by Serena Hotels. The palace’s restoration was carried out by the Aga Khan Trust for Culture under the Historic Cities Programme, preserving its unique blend of Balti, Tibetan, and Ladakhi architectural styles. Recognized with the UNESCO Asia Pacific Heritage Award in 2013, it offers guests an immersive experience into the region’s royal history and culture
